Toolbit
Private Notes Scratchpad
Hold onto a snippet, a draft, or a list for a moment and read it back as formatted Markdown. Notes is deliberately the least persistent tool here: the text lives in the open tab for the session and is gone the moment you refresh.
What the Notes does
- A single plain-text pane for pasting or typing.
- Toggle a live, sanitised Markdown preview with one click.
- Nothing is written to history, saved, or included in a workspace export.
- The text never leaves the tab and disappears on refresh.
How to use it
- Open Notes and paste or type your text.
- Switch to Preview to read it rendered as Markdown.
- Copy or download it before you refresh, because nothing is kept.
Why it runs locally
Toolbit has no backend. The Notes is implemented with standard browser APIs, so your input is processed in the tab and never uploaded, logged, or retained. That is what makes it safe to paste real data into — and it is also why the tool keeps working with the network disconnected, once you have installed Toolbit as an app.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Toolbit save my notes?
- No. Notes is session-only by design: the text lives in the open tab and disappears when you refresh or close it. It is not written to history, not saved, and not included in a workspace export.
- Is my note sent anywhere?
- Local transformations process input in your browser. HTTP and WebSocket tools send user-initiated requests. Nothing else leaves the device: there is no analytics, no tracking, and tool input and output are never uploaded.
- Is the Markdown preview safe?
- Rendered Markdown is sanitised before it is displayed, so embedded scripts and event handlers are stripped rather than executed.
